Henry then reasons that Lassiter isn't the type to go crazy and convinces them to take him seriously.
Woody pretends to be an eccentric doctor named Catalon for them. During her commissioner interview, Vick has an epiphany and leaves. Woody, Shawn and Gus find bloodied clothes hidden among the medical supplies and them alongside Shawn's father Henry, attempt to convince Dolores - a nurse with a crush on Gus - that Herschel is guilty. In the ice bar, Shawn mentions that he has only been to Norway once, with his brother in law, and Gus says that they don't talk about it.

Some days later, the silhouetted man that would go on to shoot Lassiter went to Tileback's office and blackmailed him.
Shawn asks Ova about a suspicious looking man at the bar who Ova identifies as his son, Per. Gus and Per are using urinals next to each other when Gus' phone starts to ring. He has trouble answering it due to downloading an app that put multiple viruses on his phone. This is also why Gus has not been able to answer Selene's calls. While trying to answer it, he accidentally takes a picture of Per's penis twice.

Attempting to prove that the CEO's silent partner, Wilkerson, who is in Lassiter's hospital, is faking a coma, Gus and Shawn try to tickle him but it fails and they're kicked out.
Lassiter hands her a list of errands with which she can help. Lassiter is shot, and then begins to see impossible happenings around his recovery clinic. Shawn and Gus return to the Chief's side in Santa Barbara and are forced to navigate the personal, the professional, and possibly the supernatural. What they uncover will change the course of their relationships forever. Shawn’s psychic scam is less of a focus in this story than before, but his skill with perception and attention to detail continues to prove an asset to the gumshoe team. Shawn and Gus tell Dolores of this discovery and their suspicions. Although she can't imagine Dr. Herschel being a bad guy, she sneaks them into Lassiter's room so they can guard him. Once inside, Shawn sends Gus to get more flavored ice chips and snacks.
Suddenly the two hear a sound outside, and when they look out of the window they see a bleeding man stumbling for the home's equine therapy stables. Lassiter fears his nightmares are causing him to go insane, but his father appears beside him in a hallucination to reassure him. 2020 has been the year of revisiting classic, beloved sitcoms from the 2000s.
There she finds a homeless woman with a gunshot wound in her leg, which finally solves the mystery of the missing bullet. Henry enters Lassiter's room and apologizes to Shawn for hurting his feelings earlier. The two share a bonding experience when Henry tells Shawn how great it feels to be a father and how Shawn will be a better father than he ever was.
Lassiter sees the hallucination of his father right after seeing it. The next day, Lassiter recounts what he witnessed to Shawn and Gus. They have doubts about what Lassiter claimed to see but agree to check out the stables. Shawn and Gus beat Juliet home and frantically try to prepare for the special dinner with Gus spreading rose petals on the floor while Shawn prepares a dinner comprised of popcorn, pretzels, and jelly beans.
